And what he talked about stroke me.
Here are couple points that inspire and remind me ....
*This generation has lower self-esteem than precious generation
* We are good at showing people that life is amazing even though we are depressed...The reality is they have no clue of what to do
*Technology, and engaging with social media actually made us don't know how to appropriately interact with people..and making good relationship. Friendship becomes superficial. No more deep relationship...and we lake to turn to other people for help.
* In a 2012 study, Harvard research scientists reported that talking about oneself through social media activates a pleasure sensation in the brain usually associated with food, money, and sex.
*instant gratification ...instant consume information, and social coping. You don't have to learn the social coping, everything you want you can have it instantly. Except job sanctification, and strength of relationship, there are slow, uncomfortable messy process.
* this young generation needs to learn is patient, that something that really really matters, like LOVE, Job Fulfillment, Joy, love of life, self-confident, skill sets.. .all these things take time,.sometimes you can expedite pieces of it, but the overall journey is arguable, and long, and difficult!! and if you don't ask for help and learn those skill set...then you are gonna fall (drug, depression, suicide) they will never find DEEP DEEP fulfillment in life...
* Trust is slow, consistency, steady...we have to create mechanism where we allow for this innocuous interaction to happen
* When you remove the temptation...when you dont have the phone, you just kind of enjoy the world, that's where ideas happen. Idea happens when our minds wonder, and you see something..."I bet i can do that" and that's what you call "INNOVATION"
